We’re excited to announce a new partnership between the eXtensible Catalog and Nylink! In the coming months, Nylink staff will begin offering web-based training for the XC software toolkits, especially for the XC Metadata Services Toolkit (MST).
Nylink has always excelled at providing training related to metadata initiatives, whether in MARC-based cataloging for OCLC, or more future-oriented topics such as FRBR and RDA. Nylink’s staff trainers (Lynne Graziadei, Lauren Pinsley, and Mary Edgerton) are skilled in teaching unfamiliar and/or complex metadata topics, and will give users and potential users of XC software a jump-start in taking full advantage of the capabilities of the software.
In addition to providing training, the Nylink staff will be using another of their valued skill sets – providing documentation! – to revise XC documentation and help us ensure that it is as understandable as possible for new XC users.
